Add a Places card from a Google Maps link
Paste a Google Maps link and get a card with the address, hours, website, directions and a photo.
For: Owners and admins
- Copy the Google Maps link
In Google Maps, open the place and copy its share link, or copy the address bar. Any Google Maps place link works.
- Add a Place
In your workspace, open Add and choose Place, then paste the link. If you paste a Maps link into a new Link instead, Kodiggo switches it to a Place for you.
- Let Kodiggo look it up
Kodiggo reads the name and pin from Google and the details from OpenStreetMap: address, kind of place, hours, phone, website and outdoor seating. It then copies up to 3 photos from the place's own website.
- Pick the picture
Every picture the card can use is shown as a tile: your own photos (upload up to 6), the website's photos, and the map. Choose the one for the card. With no choice, Kodiggo uses your photo, then the website's, then the map.
- Use the card
The card shows the name and the kind of place. Opening it shows the address, hours, phone, website, the photos and a map, with Directions and Open in Google Maps buttons. Sharing a Place shares its Google Maps link.
If something looks wrong
- No photo on the card? The place has no website listed in OpenStreetMap, or the site has no usable photos. Upload your own photo, and the card uses it.
- A connected AI app can add Places too: give it the Google Maps link.
