Troubleshoot thumbnails and share previews

Understand why cards or Messenger/SMS previews might show the wrong image.

For: Owners, admins, and support

1. Check the content card

   Inside the app, cards should show the uploaded preview, fetched link image, video thumbnail, PDF thumbnail, or a clear fallback icon.

2. Check the public share page

   Messaging apps read Open Graph metadata from the public share page. The title and thumbnail must be available to crawlers without authentication.

3. Give crawlers a stable image

   For reliable previews, the public share route should serve crawler-friendly metadata while humans still open the normal public content page.
